Rules:

1. Only characters created by JML are allowed. They don't neccessarily have to be from a Dawn comic, as long as you say which story or universe it is from.(example: Dark Ivory, Esque, Rhyder, etc.) Characters that are in paintings that do not have a story, such as Sinful Suzy, are allowed as long as u post a link to where i can find a scan of Joe's original artwork. Characters that Joe has painted that were not thought up by Joe (such as Red Sojna or Conan the Barbarian) are NOT allowed.

2. No, and I mean absolutly NO copying Joe's (or anyone else's) artwork. All artwork must be originally by the artist themseves. So no entering someone else's art either.

3. Since Joe draws his creations in many different ways, so can you. Dont let the costumes in the comics limit you. If you want to draw Dawn in a poodle skirt or Lucifer in a ballerina costume go right ahead. Lucifer and Curnunnos as females are also welcome since Joe has done that on occasion as well. lol
However if you arent a good costume designer, I wont begrudge you using clothes that the characters have worn in the past.

4. There will be two winners: one will be judged by poll, and the other will be my personal favorite. If my personal favorite wins the poll, I will choose my second personal favorite.

5. There will be a limit of two entries per person. Collaborations are allowed, but please take note that I will not send more than one prize to the winners. You will just have to fight over who gets it.

6. Do not enter if you cannot give me your home address. I can not mail you the prize if I dont have your addy.

7. No photo manipulation allowed.

8. Tasteful nudity is perfectly fine, but no graphic sexuality please.

9. No stickfigures!

Prizes:

The two winners will recieve a Drawing of either Dawn, Curnunnos (or the Horned Goddess), Darrian, Lucifer (or Dame Lucifer), Ahura Mazda, Ivory, or Esque drawn by me on a 9X12 sheet of Bristol in pencil.

2005-11-16 [Rain Man]: U guys have some great artwork.I havent drawn in a while, hehe. I donno who Dawn is, but can I still enter the contest?.,.Seems like the features Ihave to primarily do is Red hair, a sword of some sort(in some pics there), and a rose.

2005-11-16 [dilandau]: the main things about dawn is hair covering her right eye and three tear drops on her left eye. lots of times she has a rose on her right arm and a chain on her left arm, but that is optional. she really seems to like corsets, vambraces, and swords lol she doesnt always have red hair, but she does most of the time.

2005-11-16 [Rain Man]: Well,..I made my drawing in like 30 minutes,..but what sux is that I cant get my PhotoShop CS program to work. It keeps being so stupid and its not starting. So Im getting the newer version cuz my bro in law has it on CD,...I'll put my final entry sometime this weekend. I have a Drawn out version. I hear u can put 2 tho so I might draw another. I dont know much about Dawn but u can say my drawing is mixed up according to what u juss said [dilandau]. In my drawing I made a rose wrapping halfway up her left leg, chains on both arms, and holding a pretty big sword(I love big swords since playing Final Fantasy 7 years ago and seeing Cloud wit one). I'll show u my undone version [dilandua].

2005-11-19 [Rain Man]: yea,..i wanna get a wacom tablet,...or atleast one of them monitors that are touch screen made for art type stuff,..they too expensive tho,..lol,..i hate working wit photoshop tho also,..but i still do it because when it comes to the internet,..art looks best on programs like that,..lol,.

2005-11-19 [Elisha Kelly]: I am a tight A$$, I got Gimp for free off the net (is program I use) a mouse and a scanner. If I ever start earning money from my artistic endevours I might consider buying a tablet... but until then I'm happy to use a mouse.
